In a new interview with Paper Magazine, BLACKPINK singer ROSÉ discussed the inspiration behind the songs on her emotional debut solo album, Rosie. The K-pop superstar admits that she has a nasty habit of doom-scrolling through social media late at night, which fills her with “bad comments that will get into my head.” Rather than let this online criticism affect her creativity and force her into silence, ROSÉ let it inspire her to rise above the hate and turn that fragility into a creative strength that fills her new album. “I realized how vulnerable and addicted I was to this [online] world and that craving for feeling like I wanted to be loved and understood,” she shared. “It’s so disgustingly vulnerable and honest that people learn that I am a person that goes through these emotions, and I hated that about myself.” Rosie is set to be released on December 6 via The Black Label and Atlantic Records.
