This year’s class spans multiple genres like rock, Americana, soul, and country, with all honorees leaving an indelible mark on the Billboard charts and American music history.

Smokey Robinson helped define the sound of Motown as the frontman of The Miracles and achieved commercial success as a solo artist, while John Fogerty is known for his legendary work with Creedence Clearwater Revival as well as his highly successful solo career. Tom Morello, from Rage Against the Machine, has changed the sound of modern rock music and speaks out for social causes, while Emmylou Harris and Joe Ely are icons in the world of country and Americana who both topped the charts while winning multiple awards in their distinguished careers .
