Man arrested for stabbing two people at motel, police say

A man is in custody accused of stabbing two people outside a motel and later hitting one with a car. Police said 47-year-old David Starnes pulled out a knife and cut a man in the face at the Congress Inn.. A woman stepped in to separate the fight, and was also stabbed by Starnes. Starnes is accused of then hitting the man with his car as he was driving away from the scene. Starnes was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.


WARRANTS ISSUED FOR MURDER OF MAPLEWOOD STUDENT

North Precinct detectives are swearing out arrest warrants against five persons for the murder of 18-year-old Maplewood High School student Rashawn Wallace inside his father’s residence. Keimichael Clack,  Logan Sadler, , Ajah Miles, Chaziah Woods,, and Ronnie Sims Jr., , are accused of being part of a plot to rob Wallace’s father, Roger Wallace,  The warrants charge all five with criminal homicide.  Clack, Sadler and Miles are in custody.  Woods will be arrested once discharged from the hospital. Democrats Walk Out of Meeting After Trump “Meltdown”

  • Congressional Democrats walked out of a meeting Wednesday after a Trump insulted them, including the Speaker of the House.
  • “What we witnessed on the part of the President was a meltdown, sad to say,” said Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
  • They were supposed to meet about Syria, but left after Trump called Pelosi a “third grade politician.”

TSU student charged in in shooting death of fellow student

18 year old George Wells Jr, a Tennessee State University student has been charged in a fellow student’s shooting death inside the dormitory, according to Metro police. He was charged with reckless homicide for Sunday’s fatal shooting of fellow student, 19-year-old Rickey Scott, inside Watson Hall. Scott was transfered to TriStar Skyline Medical Center with a critical gunshot wound to his torso. The wound was found during an exam at Centennial, where Scott had been transported by ambulance for what was believed to be a non-trauma related medical issue. Scott was a student and an Ohio resident.


Four more Floridians arrested for breaking into cars in Hendersonville

Four Florida men accused of breaking into several cars in Hendersonville last week were arrested Wednesday while trying return their home state. Over the course of three days, the suspects forced entry into several cars, including breaking the vehicle window to get inside, and stole purses from inside the vehicles. Detectives were able to identify the suspects and tracked them as they left Tennessee to return to Florida. The arrests bring the total number of Florida residents charged with Gang style burglaries in Hendersonville to six in 24 hours.
