Worker killed trying to fix broken down semi on I-24 West

A person was hit and killed on Interstate 24 while trying to repair a semi-truck that had broken down. The hit-and-run crash happened last night just past Old Hickory Boulevard on I-24 West in Whites Creek. They are searching for a Red Volvo semi which is believed to be the vehicle who hit the worker. I will update this story as soon as more information becomes available.

16-year-old charged in second shooting threat to a Nashville school in two days

A 16-year-old female sophomore was arrested after threatening a shooting at a The Nashville School of the Arts High School. She has been charged with making a false report of an emergency, which is a felony. The student sent a text message warning students that they had 20 minutes to leave the NSA campus or the school would be shot up. She was identified by detectives after they deployed cyber investigative techniques linking back to the number of the cell phone she used. This is the second incident this week involving a shooting threat at a Nashville school.
