Attrell Cordes, better known as Prince Be of P.M. Dawn, died on Friday at the age of 46.

The rapper died of renal kidney disease, according to PEOPLE. His body was recovered from his home in New Jersey. He is survived by three children and his wife Mary. Together with brother Jarrett Cordes, Attrell formed the group P.M. Dawn in 1988 and went on to release two commercially successful albums, and two more critically acclaimed records.
