LUPE FIASCO TEACHING RAP AT TOP COLLEGES

Lupe Fiasco is about to school this generation of college students.

Fiasco is scheduled to teach this fall at Johns Hopkins University as part of its four-year Hip Hop degree program.

Fiasco wrote on Instagram, “Thrilled to share that I’ll be joining the faculty at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University’s Peabody Institute in Fall 2025 as a Distinguished Visiting Professor.”

The Hip Hop program at Johns Hopkins’ Peabody Conservatory gives students a chance to learn “skills in lessons with a private instructor — turntable majors will study with a world-class turntablist; rap majors with a chart-topping emcee, and you’ll get to perform, with and for your colleagues, in an environment that encourages experimentation and authenticity.”

Professor Fiasco is also teaching a Hip Hop course at MIT this spring.
