The Alabama woman who has alleged Jay-Z and Diddy sexually assaulted her when she was 13 years old at an MTV VMA afterparty is addressing inconsistencies in her story.
The anonymous accuser admits she has “made some mistakes” when recalling the event, but still stands by her overall allegations. She and her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, say the inconsistencies don’t mean the allegations are false.
Jay-Z continues to emphatically deny the allegations against him. After a strongly worded statement questioning why his accuser wouldn’t file criminal charges, Hov reacted to the latest developments, saying, “Today’s investigative report proves this ‘attorney’ Buzbee filed a false complaint against me in the pursuit of money and fame… This incident didn’t happen and yet he filed it in court and doubled down in the press… True Justice is coming. We fight FROM victory, not FOR victory. This was over before it began. This 1-800 lawyer doesn’t realize it yet, but, soon.”
Carter’s attorney, Alex Spiro, aims to have the motion dismissed, saying, “Basic facts in her narrative — the who, what, when, and where — are wrong.” Spiro also says the accuser “has no single corroborating witness.”
