The Southern Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated proudly announces the 49th Southern Regional Conference Impact Day: “Turn the Page Book Drive.” Scheduled for Wednesday, July 3rd, from 12 noon to 2 pm at the Hadley Park Community Center in Nashville, TN.
The purpose of Impact Day is to purchase African American books, as legislators attempt to ban these contributions from our public school systems. In partnership with the Hadley Park Community Center Summer Camp Program, serving over 100 students aged 5 to 13; we aim to infuse their summer with the joy of reading.
Impact Day will be filled with excitement featuring a book giveaway, educational workshops, election simulations, and much more. In collaboration with over 15 public schools and preschools, we ensure that these donated books find their way into the hands of readers by stocking their libraries.
In addition to the event’s day-of drop off, books can be ordered through Amazon by clicking here, with all shipments directed straight to the Hadley Park Community Center at 1037 28th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37208.
Together, we will spread the love of reading throughout our communities as our youth “Turn the Page”.
Impact Day is an annual event organized by the Southern Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to promote literacy and community enrichment initiatives. With a focus on providing access to diverse literature, Impact Day aims to empower individuals and communities through the joy of reading.
