You already know we’re coming back with your favorite event of the day: our annual SPADES TOURNAMENT! Secure your partner and get ready to compete for the CHAMPIONSHIP BELT and $500 CASH! Register for the Spades Tournament below!

$500 SPADES TOURNAMENT RULES

EACH TABLE WILL PLAY THE SAME COLORED DECKS
TWO PEOPLE TO A TEAM
ONE JUDGE FOR EVERY TWO TABLES TO OVERSEE GAMES
EACH TEAM PULLS A CARD. HIGH CARD IS THE FIRST DEALER
TWO DECKS PER GAME TO ENSURE A FASTER PROCESS – RED DECK AND A BLUE DECK
THE PERSON TO THE RIGHT CUTS THE DECK PRIOR TO DEALING THE CARDS.
DEALING STARTS TO THE LEFT OF THE DEALER. THE PERSON TO THE LEFT OF THE DEALER THROWS
THE FIRST CARD.
BEST TWO OUT OF THREE GAMES – NO BIDDING
BEST THREE OUT OF FIVE GAMES FOR CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
HIGH CARD ORDER IS AS FOLLWS
HIGH JOKER, LOW JOKER, ACE OF SPADES, KING OF SPADES AND SO ON. TWO’S ARE NOT HIGH

IF TEAMS RUNS A BOSTON (WINNING ALL 13 BOOKS) THE TEAM AUTOMATICALLY WINS THE SET
IF A PLAYER ONLY HAS ONE SPADE, THEY CANNOT PASS THE SPADE TO THEIR PARTNER FOR
ANOTHER CARD
ONCE A TEAM HAS WON, THE WINNING TEAM STAYS SEATED AND THE NEXT TEAM IN THE ORDER
SITS
ONCE A TEAM LOSES, THEY ARE ELIMINATED FROM THE TOURNAMENT AND REMOVED FROM
SEATING
IF A PLAYER RENIGS (PLAYS A TRUMP CARD WHEN THEY HAVE THE SUIT PLAYED IN THEIR HAND),
THAT TEAM IS AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED!
YOU CANNOT THROW YOUR CARDS DOWN AT ANY POINT DURING THE GAME. THE GAME MUST BE
PLAYED OUT IN FULL WITH ALL CARDS PLAYED!
THROWING CARDS IN WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.

IF A TEAM THROWS THEIR HAND IN BEFORE THE HAND IS OVER, THAT TEAM WILL
FORFEIT THE GAME AND THE OTHER TEAM WINS. ONCE THE HAND IS THROWN IN, THE
TEAM CANNOT PICK THEM BACK UP FOR PLAY
