Disney had good news and bad news from the box office over the holiday.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever remained the number-one film in theaters taking in $64 million over the five days between Wednesday and Sunday.
It has been three weeks at the top for the Marvel sequel.
The hyped-up Disney animation film Strange World didn’t connect with customers. Even though the new release finished second, the movie only brought in $18.6 million over the holiday period. The film was projected to make $30 to $40 million on opening weekend.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Devotion, and The Menu round out the top five movies of the weekend.
