Tyrese’s Mother Priscilla Murray Gibson Has Died

She reportedly passed away due to multiple health complications.

Tyrese Gibson’s mother, Priscilla Murray, has passed away.

According to an Instagram post made on Monday evening (February 14) by the actor, Priscilla died after being in a coma for several days.

“On behalf of my family and everyone who ever spent any time praying for my mother This is the saddest moment of my life………. My sweet Valentine just passed away…..” Tyrese captioned a video of him holding his mother’s hand. “May the Lord Jesus Christ and his angels open the doors of heavens and embrace her………. We as a family are broken and just can’t believe this……. May the Lord Jesus Christ honor your walk with him and embrace you into the heavens……. From here on I ask that you HOLD MY HAND MOTHER and never let my hand go………. Like you held my hand as a child and a teen never let my hand go mother…..”

Last Saturday (February 5), Gibson revealed that he received a call while filming the onset of an undisclosed project that his mother was fighting for her life in an intensive care unit. She went into a coma while fighting with COVID-19 and pneumonia.

The 43-year-old explained that his mother’s illness has been an uphill battle for a week before he invited his fans into his personal life. However, he said that the reason for posting was to ask for everyone to surround his mom with prayers.

“I need prayers, the most sincere prayers from you prayer warriors…. Hold on mother[,] I’m there by your side in a few days… God is able to do things, he’s pulled you OUT of a coma before… Oh God, I saw the light[,] things have been going so well… Now this…,” he captioned his IG post in part.

We send our thoughts to Tyrese and his family during this difficult time.
