Last year, the reality television star called the Bravo executive racist in a Twitter post.
NeNe Leakes appears ready to return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta but Bravo exec Andy Cohen may not be as open to giving her a peach.
Last year, Leakes announced she would not sign up for the thirteenth season of the popular series and even accused Cohen of being a racist. Cohen has now reacted and seemed to use Leakes’ own words in his response.
According to Reality Blurb, Cohen said on his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live, “What I don’t want to do is get into a public thing with her.”
“I think she would probably prefer that I keep her name out of my mouth and that is what I’m going to honor,” he added.
Back in December of 2020, Leakes tweeted to Cohen, “Stop bringing up my name.”
Just three months before, in September of 2020, Leakes tweeted about Cohen, “The racist is the master manipulator! They used me for ratings as they have always done.”
Leakes, 53, called for her supporters to sign a Change.org petition to ban the network. The petition received around 14,000 signatures.
On a Nov. 4 episode of The Real, Leakes told Loni Love and Garcelle Beauvais, who appears on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, “yeah, sure. I’ll return to the show. I’m okay with returning to the show as long as we can work through a few things. I’d be happy to return to the show.”
She also changed her tune about Cohen, saying, “I think Andy and I were really close for a really, really long time and I love Benny Boo [Benjamin] and I helped pay for his baby shower and all those things. I think that Andy and I need to have a sit-down and talk and we’re off to the races!”
Last year was not the first time Leakes left the series. NeNe briefly exited the reality show for season 9 and returned by season 10.
