LIL’ KIM WANTS TEYANA TAYLOR TO PORTRAY HER IN BIOPIC: ‘THERE’S NOBODY ELSE IN THE INDUSTRY AT ALL’ (VIDEO)

Although Teyana Taylor announced that she’s retiring from the music industry, opportunities keep knocking on her door. Lil’ Kim handpicked Teyana Taylor to portray her in an upcoming project.
In a recent interview with Essence, the Hip-Hop icon said that she’s working on a forthcoming project about her life.
“It’s dealing with me and my life a little bit, kinda,” she revealed, adding that she can share more details publicly next month.
The Brooklyn native expressed her interest in receiving the biopic treatment so that her supporters can know the “real Kim.” She quipped, “All the other stories that everybody else tells, chile, don’t listen to it.”
While she’s open to an unknown actor portraying her, the rapper said Teyana is the only person in the industry fitting to play her younger self.
“It can only be a girl that’s from the hood that I’m from. I love Teyana, she’s my only other thought. There’s nobody else in the industry at all but Teyana. But, even before Teyana — I love Teyana, but she’s from Harlem –before Teyana, I would love to give some little girls from Brooklyn a chance so I can connect. Really connect.”
Naturi Naughton infamously portrayed Lil Kim in the 2009 film Notorious and Kim was not here for it. “Yeah, no. No. I hate that movie. To me it was like a spoof. It was something that I would have never approved. I didn’t like who played me. No. No, no, no, no.”
Kim handpicking Teyana Taylor to portray her in a biopic comes weeks after Dionne Warwick said she wanted the Harlem native to play her.
“This is a case for @netflix. Please don’t ask who I would cast to play me as it would obviously be @TEYANATAYLOR,” Warwick tweeted in an FYI to the streaming platform.
