Fantasia Barrino Expecting First Child With Husband Kendall Taylor

The ‘American Idol’ alum has two children from previous relationships.
Fantasia Barrino is about to be a new mom!
The American Idol alum is reportedly expecting her first child with husband Kendall Taylor. The couple announced the news during a Tuesday (November 24) Instagram Live video post.
Barrino, 36, prior to the announcement, described how she had been struggling with fertility issues and let fans know how religion played a big role in her pregnancy. She says the story of Rachel, who in the Bible book of Genesis gave birth to Joseph, helped her immensely.
“Keep trying and you will conceive,” Barrino said, before standing up to reveal her baby bump.
Taylor subsequently kissed his wife and said, “Listen to me, a little Taylor baby on the way in these streets.”
While the child will be the couple’s first, Barrino has two children from previous relationships – Dallas Xavier, 8, and Zion Quari, 19. Taylor is dad to a son, Treyshaun.
In a separate Instagram post, Barrino shared more details about her struggle with fertility issues, explaining that a doctor had advised her that one of her fallopian tubes had closed.
“God I want to thank you! You gave us a seed even when the doctor said that one of my tubes were closed you said different. @salute1st I love you king and I can’t wait to see who he or she acts like,” she wrote
