Da Brat is pregnant! She and her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, are expecting. In revealing the news to People, Da Brat shared her experience of getting pregnant at 48. She said, “It’s been quite a journey. There’s a lot of stuff we learned about women over the age of 40.” Brat added, “It started as a joke, we were like, ‘We’re extending our family!’ But then we got a huge response. It was like, ‘Oh my God do we want to actually have kids, and if we do, girl, we better hurry up!” She was candid about doctors needing to remove fibroids and polyps to prepare for carrying a baby. Brat also opened up about a miscarriage before the current pregnancy. She explained, “I had never been so excited about something that I didn’t even know I wanted. I fell in love with the idea and then it was all snatched away from me.” With the help of donor eggs, Brat got pregnant again and is now in her second trimester.
