Those hoping that Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson would transition from a big-screen hero to President of the United States are bound to be disappointed. His political career is “off the table” — for now.
The 50-year-old Black Adam star told CBS Sunday Morning how he’s no longer considering a run for the White House, though a Newsweek poll last year showed The Rock is popular enough to garner 46% of the national vote.
Johnson said, “I love our country and everyone in it. I also know what it was like to be so busy that I was absent for my oldest daughter. And that’s what the presidency would require. Sure, CEO sounds great, but the number-one thing I want to be is daddy. That’s it.”
