‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’ Revival Series Trailer: BET+ Revisits Kevin Hart’s Spoof Sitcom
The first trailer for BET+’s Real Husbands of Hollywood – More Kevin, More Problems has been released. Once again, Kevin Hart and his Hollywood friends are back doing “Real Househusbands” antics for laughs.
The six-episode limited series will premiere on Feb. 10. Hart will reprise his role along with original cast members Kodjoe, Duane Martin, JB Smoove, Nelly, Nick Cannon, Robin Thicke, Cynthia McWilliams, and Jackie Long. Michele Weaver and Angela Rye are also joining the cast.
The series is a spoof on the Real Housewives franchise and follows Hart and the cast in a fictionalized version of their lives in Hollywood. Hart created the original series in 2013 after debuting the idea at the 2012 BET Awards. The original series ran for five seasons until 2016.
Hart will executive produce through Hartbeat Productions. Jesse Collins via his production company, Jesse Collins Entertainment, will also executive produce. Other executive producers include original co-creators Ralph R. Farquhar, Chris Spencer, Stan Lathan, Bryan Smiley, Mike Stein, Andy Horne, Dionne Harmon, Dave Becky, and Wayne Stamps.
Spencer will also serve as a writer with Stamps serving as showrunner. Other writers include Johnny Mack, Buddy Lewis, who will also produce with Carl Craig. Robin Henry and Amberia Allen are also part of the writing team. The series’ directors include Chris Robinson, Ali Leroi, and Leslie Small.
