Rapper Eve Officially Pregnant With First Child: “You All Know How Long We’ve Been Waiting For This Blessing”

Rapper, Actress and Daytime Talk Show host Eve is adding a new title to her growing list. The “Queens” star has new reason to celebrate as she’s just unveiled that she is expecting her first child with husband Maximillion Cooper. “Can you believe it @mrgumball3000 we finally get to tell everyone!!!!!” She captioned the post. In the picture, a glowing Eve looks down at her growing belly in admiration. “You all know how long we’ve been waiting for this blessing!!!” She goes on to say, “We get to meet our lil human February 2022”
Max chimed in via his own Instagram saying “Very excited to share this news… we have a lil human on the way!” It’s been a long long journey for Eve, one she’s been very candid about over the years. The stepmom of four has had tons of practice, helping Cooper raise his children from a previous marriage. She admits that while it was not always easy, after ten years, she truly felt blessed to have them in her life. “It’s been now 10 and a half years I’ve been in their lives and they’ve been in my life. They’ve grounded me,” she confessed to People Magazine. She admits she was initially skeptical but eventually came around. “In the beginning, when I first met my husband, then-boyfriend, I was like, ‘This is never gonna last because you got four kids! How’s this gonna work?’ “she recalls. “But then I met the kids and honestly was like ‘Wow, kids are amazing.’ “
However, despite adjusting and eventually celebrating the joys of being a stepmom, Eve longed for her own. So much so that she eventually left her job at the top so that she could move to London and be with her husband full time. Before leaving the show she opened up about her wish to become a mother and the struggle she’d had with fertility. She told her co-hosts she felt “ashamed” that she was having such a hard time conceiving. “As a woman, you just think things happen naturally and I felt like I was damaged,” she told her co-hosts. She confessed to feeling “broken” and not “good enough”.
She opened up as well about feeling there is a double standard and that men do not get judged as harshly for not having kids after a certain age. Overall she thanked her family and support system for keeping her grounded and positive through her fertility issues. Well, it looks like that long journey is now over for the Hip-Hop star.
Fans and friends rushed into the comments to congratulate her. At writing, the post had already amassed almost 90k likes and comments. “Congrats queen!” said one fan. “I’m so happy for you! Finally!” said another. In addition to her new baby, Eve is gearing up for the series premiere of Queen, starring herself, Brandy, and Naturi Naughton. According to the show’s synopsis, “[Queen] follows four 40-something women, formally part of a ’90s hip-hop group, who are now focused on reviving their careers after feeling caught up in the monotony of everyday life.”
