Cardi B put the labor in Labor Day weekend.
The hip-hop star gave birth to her second child — a boy — with fellow rapper Offset on Saturday.
She shared the news Monday with an Instagram photo showing Cardi B cradling the new bundle of joy in a blue blanket alongside her husband.
“We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son,” Cardi B and Offset said in a statement. “He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”
Cardi B revealed her pregnancy in June when she performed at the BET Awards with her baby bump visible.
“#2!” she captioned an Instagram post featuring a pregnancy photo at the time.
The Bronx-raised Cardi B and Offset also have a 3-year-old daughter, Kulture.
Her childbirth announcement Monday earned a wave of congratulatory messages from other celebrities.
“A VIRGO YAAAAASSSSS CONGRATS!” actress Taraji P. Henson wrote in the comments section.
Meanwhile, actress Marsai Martin, who took the stage as a presenter immediately after Cardi’s BET Awards performance, commented, “Yayyyy!!! Congrats.”
The 28-year-old Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, is a chart-topping Grammy winner known for the hits “WAP,” “I Like It” and “Bodak Yellow.”
She has been married to the 29-year-old Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, since 2017.
It’s the fifth child for Offset, a member of the hip hop group Migos, which is known for songs such as “Bad and Bougie” and “Walk It Talk It.”
