Keyshia Cole Covers Ashanti’s Biggest Hit

R&B STARS ASHANTI AND KEYSHIA COLE WILL GO HEAD-TO-HEAD ON DEC. 12.

Ashanti and Keyshia Cole are set to go head-to-head in the next Verzuz battle, and Cole is already getting her vocals together.
Cole’s discography includes favorites such as “Let It Go” featuring Missy Elliott and Lil Kim,” “I Should Have Cheated,” “Heaven Sent,” and “Last Night” with Diddy. In a video posted to Instagram Live, Cole can be seen covering Ashanti’s hit single, “Foolish” and her vocals are on point.
The matchup marks the fourth female-charged battle, following Erykah Badu and Jill Scott, Monica and Brandy, and Gladys Knight and Patti LaBelle. “It’s a #celebration💐💐” Cole posted to Instagram.
Ashanti’s catalogue is not to be messed with either. Her self-titled debut ushered in her as R&B royalty, with “Foolish,” “Happy,” and “Baby,” as some of her lead singles. Let’s also not forget she has “Rock Wit U (Awww Baby)” and “Rain On Me” as well. It seems that Cole definitely met her match in Ashanti.
Fans can tune into the battle on the @VERZUZTV Instagram page or on Apple Music. It will take place next Saturday (December 12) at 8pm ET (1am GMT).
