Two 13-year-olds arrested in stolen car investigation

Two 13-year-olds have been arrested after they were found behind the wheel of a car that was reported stolen earlier in the day. The 2015 Hyundai Sonata had been reported stolen from Whispering Hills Drive. An undercover Metro Police team followed the car and attempted to block the car in. The driver put the car into gear and crashed in to a car. The two were then taken into custody and are charged with auto theft.


Biden plummets in new national poll, ceding top spot to Bernie

Former Vice President Joe Biden has plummeted in a new national poll out Monday that also shows Bernie Sanders with a clear lead among Democratic voters heading into Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary. Biden dropped 9 points to 17 percent after his dismal performance in Iowa, followed close behind by former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg,and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who dropped 1 point to 14 percent.


THP: At least one dead in hit-and-run crash on I-65 in Williamson Co. 

One person is dead and three others are injured in an overnight hit-and-run crash in Williamson County. The crash happened on I-65 southbound at mile marker 61 near Peytonsville Road. They say multiple vehicles were involved in the wreck, but the reported hit and run vehicle has not been found. One person involved in the crash was pronounced dead. Three others were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.


Sumner grand jury indicts Jordan, Martin in connection with Hendersonville officer’s death

Sumner County grand jurors indicted the two Nashville men charged in connection with a Hendersonville Police officer’s death. The five-count indictment charges Kevin Jordan and Emani C. Martin Jr., both 19, in connection with the Dec. 30 incident. Master Patrol Officer Sppencer Bristol was killed after chasing a fleeing suspect across I65. Store clerk shot during robbery; police searching for suspect

A store clerk was shot during a robbery at the MGM Market Tobacco and Beer on Halls Hills Pike in Murfreesboro on Monday afternoon. The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to TriStar then transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Police are on the lookout for a 2010 black Nissan license plate 4m72b1. Police say the gunman took off in the victim’s vehicle – a 2010 black Nissan Rogue with Tennessee tags 4M72B1. The investigation and search for the shooter is ongoing.
