Rutherford County man accused of shooting ex-girlfriend
49 year old Nathaniel Garner has been arrested after shooting at his ex-girlfriend yesteerday in a home along Crestmount Drive. 28-year-old victim was transported to a Nashville hospital. Garner was located on Medical Center Parkway and taken into custody and is charged with aggravated domestic assault and being held on a $50,000 bond at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
Person of interest wanted in killing of Hermitage truck driver
A search is underway for a gunman who killed a Hermitage truck driver in Shelby County. 30 year old Dajuante Stuart was found dead last night inside his tractor trailer. Now, detectives are searching for a person of interest. A man was caught on Stuart’s in-cab camera. Shelby County detectives are investigating his death as a homicide.
Nashville man accused of slamming 2-year-old son against wall, smacking him for crying
A Nashville man is facing multiple counts of child abuse charges after he’s accused of slamming his 2-year-old son against a wall and hitting him because he was crying. 32 year old Brandon Weston is charged with two counts of child abuse and aggravated assault. According to affidavits, Weston’s girlfriend was also afraid for her life after grabbing her son and Weston pointed a gun in her face. Weston is being held in Metro Jail on a $45,000 bond.
WHITE WOMAN CHARGED WITH ATTACK ON BLACK WOMAN
A 25-year-old white woman has been charged with a hate crime after allegedly unleashing a savage attack that left a 27-year-old black woman hospitalized. Sarah Benain was seen screaming the n-word repeatedly as she battered a black female victim outside of a Banquet Hall in Ilinois. An on-duty deputy was also present at the banquet hall that day and rushed outside to assess the January 4th altercation. The victim was attacked at random as she was leaving the banquet hall with her boyfriend. Benain was ultimately arrested and charged with a hate crime, disorderly conduct, aggravated battery, and other serious offenses.
Metro bill proposes fine for idling more than 3 minutes
A Metro Council member is proposing a bill that would impose a $50 fine for drivers who idle in their cars for longer than three minutes. The bill, introduced by Metro councilwoman Tonya Hancock, would also fine drivers who idle longer than a minute in school zones. The bill has various exceptions for school buses, law enforcement officers, or drivers stuck in traffic. The bill passed the first of three readings on Tuesday evening.
