THE MAN THAT TACKLED THE WAFFLE HOUSE SHOOTER

James Shaw Jr. was about to enjoy breakfast with his friend, when Travis Reinking entered the Waffle House on Murfreesboro Road and opened fire. Shaw said he felt like fish in a barrel, because there was nowhere to go. He ran for the bathroom and Reinking fired in his direction, grazing him in the arm. Reinking then went to reload. That is when Shaw made his move and grabbed the gun with the gunman. Barrel pointing to the floor, Shaw and the gunman wrestled for the gun until Shaw was able to gain control and threw the gun over the restaurant counter. Reinking then ran from the Waffle House semi-nude. Shaw said he didn’t go after him because he didn’t know if Reinking had another gun. We want to thank James Shaw Jr for what he did. He saved many lives and is a true hero!!!
