The movie Black Panther hit big at the box office, and impacted new wave of thinking for black culture. Here are some reasons why Black Panther is a need to go see movie

The success of Black Panther led to an economic boost for Atlanta, Georgia. $83.9 million was invested in ATL for the creation of this film by purchasing catering and various other things through local businesses. The production employed at least 3,000 people and the setting for different scenes spotlighted landmarks like the High Museum in Midtown Atlanta.

Black Panther was released by the Marvel comic universe in 1966 and was  the first African American hero to go mainstream with Luck Cage and the Falcon following behind. In 2010 the legend of Black Panther made its television appearance on BET as a TV mini-series featuring stars like Djimon Hounsou, Jill Scott, and Kerry Washington, but didn’t last long. Black Panther is a comeback hero as it’s now a top charting film around the world.

On the day the film premiered theaters were pact with fans from all ages dressed in African inspired garments craving for a heightened black culture experience. Many celebrities rented out theaters for black youth and teachers dressed their rooms in Black Panther regalia supporting the respected new role model and inspiration. The movie quickly became a must see for the and exemplifies the importance of supporting our black community, people, and culture.
