Cumulus Nashville’s 104-5 The Zone, SuperTalk 99.7 WTN, NASH FM 103.3, 95.5 Nash Icon and 92Q has teamed up with the Special Olympics and Tennessee Titans for this year’s Music City Blitz 5v5 Adult Flag Football Tournament! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 7th at Nissan Stadium.

All proceeds raised by flag football teams benefit Special Olympics Tennessee athletes and help foster their mission: The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

DATE: Saturday, April 7, 2018

REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN: 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 am.  Each player must come to check-in and sign a wavier, get their food voucher, receive incentive prizes and receive a stamp to enter restricted field areas (locker room, Titans Tunnel, field of play).

TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (game times will vary per division)

 

OPENING CEREMONIES:  9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Presented by Jackson National Life Insurance Company. All teams must report to the home tunnel by 8:45 to line-up for Opening Ceremonies. Teams and players will be introduced through the stadium PA system, shown on the Jumbotron and run through the Titans Home Tunnel and Game day Swords, smoke, and fire.  You don’t want to miss this!

PARKING: FREE parking is included and will be available in Lot C

ENTRANCE: Players will enter the stadium through the East Concourse at Gate #1

BAG CHECK: All bags will be checked upon entering the stadium. No alcohol, firearms, or weapons will be allowed inside the stadium.

CONCESSIONS:  Concessions will be available and each player will receive a $10 voucher.

SPECTATORS: The event is open to the public and spectators are welcomed and encouraged.  Admission is free.

AWARDS: Medals will be awarded to the Champion & Finalist of each Division. The medal ceremony AND Top Fundraising Presentations will be held at midfield after the conclusion of the last game.

TITANS TEAM STORE: The Titans Team Store will be open with entrance access outside of the stadium by the East Concourse adjacent to Gate 1.

WEATHER POLICY: The Titan’s grounds crew will determine if we are able to play on the field.  If we are unable to play, we will notify you via email with further details.

The top two (2) fundraising teams by the start of the event will win prize packs from the Titans.  More details will be released closer to the event date.

The top three (3) fundraising individuals by the start of the event will be eligible to win a Titans prize pack.  More details will be released closer to the event date.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

All players must be 18 or older.

All teams are guaranteed a minimum of three games on Nissan Stadium field (weather permitting).

Teams consist of 15 players per team, with at least 4 players present to start a game.

For the Co-ed Division, 2 female players must play at all times.

Spectators are allowed in Nissan Stadium in select areas (only players are allowed on the field).

Inclement Weather Policy: Special Olympics Tennessee, The Tennessee Titans and Nissan Stadium reserve the right to cancel or suspend outdoor field usage if field conditions could result to injury to players or damage the fields. In the instance of inclement weather, games could be shortened, postponed or moved to another facility.
