Nashville, TN. Historic First Community Church and Pastor Glenn V. Clay announces their 85th Church Anniversary featuring guest speaker Dr. C.T. Vivian. Dr. C.T. Vivian is a minister, author, Civil Rights Activist, and was a lieutenant for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He is the 2013 recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom for a lifetime of activism by former President Barak Obama. Among many leadership roles, Vivian has served on the Board of the Center for Democratic Renewal and the National Voting Rights Museum. He has provided civil rights counsel to Presidents Johnson, Carter, Reagan, Clinton, and Obama, he continues to lecture on social justice and democracy throughout the world. Our Theme is: Abounding in Faith, Love, Grace, and Generational Blessings, Genesis 17:9. The occasion will be held on Sunday August 27, 2017 at Historic First Community Church, 1815 Knowles St. Nashville, TN 37208 at 10:00am.
