President Obama ‘Slow Jams’ His Legacy on ‘The Tonight Show’ | Black America Web
Barack Obama delivered the second and final “Slow Jam the News” segment of his presidency on Thursday’s “Tonight Show,” reciting lyrics that reminded Americans what he has accomplished during his two terms.
Backed by The Roots and assisted by host Jimmy Fallon, POTUS touched on how his administration pulled the country out of a recession after he took office in 2008, how he introduced health care reform, and oversaw the passage of same-sex marriage. He also managed to squeeze in the chorus of Rihanna’s “Work.”
When host Jimmy Fallon asked if Obama had watched recent election coverage on Trump, the president responded, “No, but I have been watching my new favorite show, Orange Is Not the New Black.”
