This story could have been an epic tragedy right here in Nashville. But thanks to our well trained and cool-headed police force, it ended up being a life lesson for some young Nashville Boys.
The boys bought toy guns from a local shop and thought it would be fun to POINT those guns at drivers as they passed by. Someone eventually called the police. When the police arrived they saw the young boys pointing this at cars:

Now you tell me how decisive you have to be as a law enforcement officer to decipher Fake from Real with this gun?? Why the hell would a store even sell this to children (right here in our city) is beyond me.
The police were able to contain the situation and handcuffed the young boys.

One parent said she thought the handcuffs were a “Bit Much”??? Are you kidding me? Do you know how up-in -arms the city would have been if the cops had shot those boys? I say handcuff them. Take them downtown and let them sit in an investigation room until their parents come get them. They need to learn…Right NOW! It’s not a game out here and that their parents could be going to ID their dead bodies instead of picking them up alive from Metro!
I take my hat off to the Metro Officers for the way you handled this one. I mean. Everytime I look at the gun they had, I know how close this event was to being catastrophic…
