Esther Adler-O’Keefe, a vice principal at Southampton High School in New York, is under fire for appearing in the music video for “Best Friend,” a song by rapper J.R. featuring Trey Songz. In the video, Adler-O’Keefe agrees to let J.R. house-sit her home while she goes off on a trip. In the meantime, J.R. and Songz invite countless women over for an insane party.
The school district’s Superintendent Scott Farina explained to ABC 7 Eyewitness News why her appearance in the video is such an issue.
“The video in question showcases behaviors and language use that is not promoted by the Southampton School District,” said Farina. “In fact we actively teach our students the importance of good character and making smart choices.”
The video, which was uploaded to YouTube on Sept. 14, currently has 571,663 views and counting.

Do you think the principal should be reprimanded for being in this music video?
